Before & After Photographs

An outdated entrance to a office building was given a face lift with the introduction of new walkway paving, plantings, & a new courtyard with an attractive 'Pondless' water feature.  Once the plant material matures, this outdoor 'oasis' will be a welcomed getaway  for employees to take a break!

Although the 'before' photo is more colorful, the client was unhappy with the access to the basement doorwall & the problem of grading in planting beds which eroded with every heavy rain.  This was resolved with a more welcoming courtyard entry.  A centralized approach of stairs & paving was provided with retaining wall planting beds & flagstone  instead of the existing concrete stoop.  Now we just await for the plants to leaf out & grow to get a better photo.
At the entry to this home, the client requested a facelift with a more dynamic visual impact.  This burbling rock (pondless) feature was added to an already existing landscape with only minor additions of plant materials to soften & accentuate the scale of the existing architecture.

The site planning  of a vacant rural residential property proves to be a challenge with the complex grade changes  & existing site features.
The house design & other proposed site ammenities were carefully planned to be functionally & visually compatible & complimentary with the existing topography, site orientation & other natural site features (ie. pond).

A front deck & terraced stairway to the home was designed to accomodate the existing grade changes. Detailed plantings were implemented with careful attention to varying forms, colors, textures & sizes to best accentuate the new homes' curb appeal.

The homeowner required an entrance walkway connection & a more welcoming approach to the front door of her home.  A curved flagstone walk and courtyard was implemented with the addition of a wider front stoop for ease of accessibility.  This client plans to implement the proposed planting plan herself in  future phasing.
